1 · Drop what you meant to launch, and what went live
Intended
your launch sheet / template CSV
One row per ad set. Only the name column is required — every other column you map gets compared.
Actual
the Ads Manager ad-set export
Meta Ads Manager → Export → ad set level. Google / TikTok exports work too as long as the columns map.
No data handy? A 10-row launch sheet vs 11 live ad sets, with every kind of drift planted.
Your files stay in your browser. Basic usage statistics are collected.
2 · Map columns on both sides
Only the ad set name is required. A field mapped on just one side is skipped, not compared.
Intended columns
Actual columns
3 · What actually went live
Values resembling known defaults
Defaults are a snapshot (2026-09) of platform behaviour — verify in Ads Manager before you rely on one.

What to fix
Unmatched ad sets
Exports hold ad set names and settings only — no spend, no results, no raw rows.
Excel tip: if a CSV opens all in one column, or long IDs show as 1.2E+17, import it via Data → From Text/CSV and set ID columns to Text.
